International experience in the region of the French Haute-Savoie, in St. Nicolas la Chapelle, including mountain and snow sports, studying and using the French language in different contexts and boarding with peers from other locations and/or nationalities.
The aim is for all experiences as tools to reflect on the emotional, social and language skills they acquire over the course of the camp.
There are two different programs within the same course:
In Sport d` Aventure students have 30 hours of French lessons in 3 daily periods plus mountain and cultural activities of interest, either in afternoons or for full days.
In Science, Art and Nature students have 30 hours of science project sessions combined with mountain activities and cultural visits of interest, such as a visit to CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research).

Necessary material:
- Sport footwear: outdoors trainers and mountain shoes (must have good grip).
- Swimming costume.
- Towel (for swimming and shower)
- Waterproofs.
- Short and long trousers.
- Outerwear: sweater or sweatshirt.
- Day backpack.
- High socks.
- Personal toiletry bag.
- Sunscreen: body + facial.
- Slippers
- SKI EQUIPMENT.
- Skiwear (jacket and trousers)
- Gloves
- Tinted ski goggles
All items must be labelled with the student’s name. Students can bring their own ski equipment (boots, skis, ski poles and helmet) or rent them at the resort.
Accommodation:
Full-board and lodging at SEK-Les Alpes international boarding residence, in Val D’Arly in the French Savoy.
During ski days in Tignes, students travel to the French resort and are provided full board and lodging at a residence at the foot of the funicular that gives access to the glacier.
Meals:
Special meals prepared in the school’s own kitchen are offered if necessary.
SEK-Les Alpes summer courses require a pre-enrolment process prior to formalising enrolment.
