Happy Summer

This course is full of fun adventures where, through our ¨learning paths¨, we will discover everything that our wonderful city can offer. Every day we will carry out activities, both indoors and outdoors, helping the development of learning for transformation. Exploring the environment and fostering inquiry, through sensory, artistic and scientific dynamics. All the activities are adapted to each age group designed to foster children’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional development. Experiences are based on the educational objectives that are the hallmark of SEK Group and adhere to the competency profile of SEK Education Group and the IB teaching ethos.

• Activities take place on SEK-Santa Isabel school grounds.
• Sports activities will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The swimming pool, athletics and racket activities will take place at the UCJC Sports Club, the Camilo José Cela University (SEK Education Group) sports club in Villafranca del Castillo. Other outdoor activities and outings will take place in locations such as the Retiro Park, Madrid Río or Casa de Campo.

This programme is taught by native English-speaking or bilingual teachers specialised in Early Childhood Education. All staff are SEK school teachers.

Extended timetable
This course has optional extended hours (at extra cost) from 08:00 to 09:00 and 16:00 to 17:00.

Materials

• Each student must bring individual swimming kit (swimsuit, flip-flops, cap, goggles and towel), as well as personal hygiene items. Students should also bring packed lunch for break.
• We recommend that children wear comfortable clothing and footwear that they don’t mind getting dirty, shorts, T-shirt and Velcro trainers.

All clothing must be duly labelled with the student’s first name and last name.

Transport
No transport route.

Meals

• Option with or without lunch.
• Special meals are offered if necessary.
• The dining room is supervised by school teachers.
• On days of cultural outings, the school provides a pic-nic bag.
